In other news, I just got over a horrible cold and I have a ton of stuff to do for finals next week. This quarter I just kind of collapsed after writing my papers. I'm kind of whatevs about the exams but I should actually care because I need to pass everything because I AM SO CLOSE TO HAVING A DEGREE.
Graduating is scary, though. Especially since I can't start work until July because of all my fabulous June travel plans (to Seattle and hopefully Disneyworld if we sell enough cookies). I'm skipping a family reunion in Georgia in July, though. That's a big sacrifice, I know. July in Georgia. ;)
And there are the summer concerts I want to go to. No Doubt. Possibly the JoBros. If I'm not in England/France with my family. I will probably go to neither of those unless Grace deigns to take me along to JoBros if she gets her free tix.
Whew. That's a lot. I kind of blabbered for a long while. I should go do something creative and...worthwhile. I have lots of new ideas for my sci-fi script after being lectured on feminist theory involving cyborgs in class. I still have to finish writing/polishing the Office spec script. Weird, I will have a complete script soon.

I have an 8-10 page paper due tomorrow at 3:30 and I am only just starting on page 2. I can't bring myself to work on it. I'm day-dreaming too too much.
This is what happens when I talk myself into going to a secret Jonas Brothers show instead of getting a big chunk of my final paper done before Thanksgiving because I didn't work on it like I knew I wouldn't.
Now, with panic closing in on my throat, and the show fading in my memory, I'm kicking myself for not just getting it done last weekend when I should have.
Curses. *deep breath* I should just have a bit of a stretch and eat something while revving up my determination. It must be done.
Okay. Here we go.

This is how I want my week to go next week: (skipping over the part where I try to write 2 papers and film a class project all within a 3-day period this weekend)
monday: go to class. try to deal with not having seen twilight yet.
tuesday: go to more class. still try to deal with not having seen twilight yet. drive home. sleep.
wednesday: wake up. wait around while Ruth is at work. then gather the group and SEE TWILIGHT.
thursday: eat lots of food.
friday: puke. worry about papers.
saturday: worry some more.
sunday: drive back to school.
I think I have my topics down for my papers. Getting that finger-tip grip on them is making me feel a little better.
...But I'm no closer to finishing a first draft of a screenplay.
Adulthood is coming swift as the raging river underneath Pocahontas' canoe. Gah.

breaking dawn= done. not as bad as i thought it would be...but i was never precious about the other books so i was never offended and my expectations weren't dashed. it was sooo drawn out, though. she needed to edit that thang. or made it a five-book series.
next= paper towns! hopefully i will like it better than looking for alaska, which, letmethinkohyeah i have only read half of because i was mad. sorry john green. you're made of awesome, but having that death in the middle of the book was kinda annoying. though i do commend you for not playing to the reader's desire for a romantic happy ending. ;)
as for what happened on tuesday, i've accepted it with the kind of calm that has been going on around here (thank god sb kids are apparently not gloaters). but i reserve judgement for january when he starts. i know everyone is super happy with relief that the last 8 years are coming to a close, but i wouldn't assume that he's going to be so middle-of-the-road about his policies. i'm not saying that it's impossible that he would be, but i think time will tell instead what he may be telling everyone now. i still don't trust him.
on that happy note, i hope y'all have a good weekend. if you have a four-day wknd, i'm super jeal. i should write a letter to the UC regents and tell them that only giving tuesday off is BS. that is all. :)
